A new chapter · Since 2022

Between painting
and tattooing.

After arriving in the United States in 2022, I began developing a tattoo style that gradually entered into dialogue with my painting. Blue-gray midtones, deep contrast and touches of gold became a shared language between canvas and skin.

This is a selection of individual works, details and moments from the studio. Alongside these explorations, I continue my established painting practice, returning to weathered facades, dark landscapes and nocturnal scenes.

An ongoing practice

Several directions.
One studio.

Architecture, portraiture and figurative work continue side by side. Drawing, color and composition connect these different directions in my practice.

The painting practice

Beauty within
the broken.

My paintings grew from the facades I observed in Cuba: worn surfaces, fractured ornament and traces of everyday life. Through color, light and accumulated detail, I looked for beauty within deterioration.

These works carry a quiet social critique, reflecting the reality around me while drawing attention to the visual richness of what was being lost.

I studied at the academy from 2009 and graduated in 2014. That foundation in drawing and painting continues to inform my tattoo work: composition, color, contrast and the way each element belongs within a larger image.
