THE ARTIST BEHIND INKFABREGAS

Yorlandi Fabregas

Before I started tattooing, I trained as a painter in Cuba. That background still influences the way I work with composition, color and balance, both on canvas and skin.

Today I work in Miami at Black Nova Tattoo Collective, focusing on complex cover-ups, realism and large-scale custom tattoos.

I don’t approach a cover-up as simply hiding an old tattoo. The goal is to create a new piece that looks intentional and works naturally with the body.

I work closely with each client to find the right direction and give every project the time it needs.

A considered process

I start by reviewing your idea, the placement, the size and, for a cover-up, the existing tattoo.

Some projects can be completed in one session. Others need to be done in stages. Before scheduling, I will explain what is realistic and how many sessions may be needed.
